The Big Idea Gator Business Plan Competition was created to help students grow their business ideas. It is a four month competition in the spring where teams of students begin by creating growth-oriented business models. Marty serves as a judge, mentor, and investor for competing start-ups.

This exclusive course dissects and analyzes entrepreneurial ventures and the decisions that enabled them to be successes or failures. Marty ensures a dynamic course that engages students through debates, guest speakers, and networking events. John Kraft, Dean of the Warrington College of business said "Marty is a creative and imaginative classroom teacher."

Marty's passion lies in helping driven individuals make their dreams come true. This happens in and out of the classroom by mentoring students starting their own ventures.
